Rhode Island Events Calendar
A land of festivities and events, Rhode Island, the Ocean State, is remarkably a place of numerous events and shows that cater to a wide range of audience. Tourists may need to extend their stay to grab a chance of experiencing Rhode Island’s various events for children and families, art shows, comedies, food festivities, garden extravaganza, film festivals, theater shows among others. Those who would like to take a glimpse and even experience selections of arts and crafts such as jewelry, wearable art, fine crafts like pottery, photography, baked goods, chocolate products, and others are advised to take part in Newport Artisans’ fair that’s being held every June. This event usually includes raffle show for the benefit of chosen charity or institution. Another event, the Cultural Survival Bazaar, is a July event that highlights products from Africa, Asia and the rest of the Americas. This event also showcases the ethnic food, world music, and live presentations. Don’t forget to include Providence Italian Festival, to experience Rhode Island’s celebration of their Italian ethnic heritage through a display of arts, food, and entertainment.
Food enthusiasts will surely satisfy their gastronomic needs (and wants) via Rhode Island’s countless food festivities. Seafood lovers will surely call the Annual Charlestown Chamber Seafood Festival in Charlestown as a heaven’s delight. August will be marked as a typhoon of lobster, steamers. Chowder, fish, clam cakes and delectable dishes mixed with the sight of amusement rides, entertaining shows and car shows on the side. Another time of enjoyment waits for every September in Newport Mansions Wine and Food Festival, a three-day celebration of good and wine, including free tasting, seminars, dancing activities, auctions, and cooking demonstration.
